Halligan Hall of Scholars

The Halligan Hall of Scholars located on the second floor of the Student Union is dedicated to OSU undergraduate students, and their faculty mentors, who have won various prestigious national and international scholarship competitions.

First opened to commemorate OSU's selection as a Truman Honor Institution in 2000, the space was designed by Rick Bartholomew, OSU College of Human Environmental Sciences, with funding made possible by alumnus Dr. James Whiteneck and his wife, Carol.

Oklahoma State University has before it an opportunity to forge both the spirit and mechanics that will drive forward the modern land-grant university. Our commitment to students does not end with expanding access to higher education and providing resources to prepare them as future members of the workforce. Instead, our commitment reaches far beyond as we strive to represent Oklahoma as the state’s internationally recognized research institution.
