INTRODUCTORY MEETING | August 28 4:30 PM, August 29 5:00 PM, August 30 3:30 PM (201 Old Central)

All current Freshman Research Scholars will gather to socialize and learn about important program requirements and guidelines. Former FRS will share their experiences with undergraduate research and offer strategies for successfully conducting projects.  

This is a mandatory event for all FRS scholarship recipients.


ETHICS SEMINAR | October 30 & 31, 4 - 5 PM, CLB 219 

Ethics is of critical importance to the proper performance of research.  We will discuss several aspects of the responsible conduct of research and institutional compliance.

PROGRESS REPORT DEADLINE | Friday, Nov. 16, 2018

MENTOR AGREEMENT DEADLINE | Friday, Dec. Nov. 30, 2018

To remain eligible for the program scholarship, all current Freshman Research Scholars are required to submit the Progress Report, which describes their activities during the fall semester and explains their plans for the spring. Faculty mentoring FRS projects must confirm the arrangement by submitting the Mentor Agreement. Both of these are forms we will send you to complete.

Freshman Research Scholars Symposium | Friday, April 19, 2019

All current Freshman Research Scholars will present the results of their research experience at the symposum in the form of a poster.

This is a mandatory event for all FRS scholarship recipients.


PROGRAM EVALUATION DEADLINE | Friday, Apr. 26, 2019

To remain eligible for the program scholarship, all current Freshman Research Scholars are required to submit the Program Evaluation.
