INTRODUCTORY MEETING | TBD

All current Freshman Research Scholars will gather to socialize and learn about important program requirements and guidelines.  Former FRS will share their experiences with undergraduate research and offer strategies for successfully conducting projects.  College groups will break out to meet with their coordinators.

This is a mandatory event for all FRS scholarship recipients.


ETHICS SEMINAR | TBD

Ethics is of critical importance to the proper performance of research.  We will discuss several aspects of the responsible conduct of research and institutional compliance.

PROGRESS REPORT DEADLINE | Friday, Nov. 17, 2017

MENTOR AGREEMENT DEADLINE | Friday, Dec. 1, 2017

To remain eligible for the program scholarship, all current Freshman Research Scholars are required to submit the Progress Report, which describes their activities during the fall semester and explains their plans for the spring.  Faculty mentoring FRS projects must confirm the arrangement by submitting the Mentor Agreement.

PRE-RESEARCH SYMPOSIUM INFORMATION SESSIONS

Attend one of the following in 201 Old Central to learn about what your poster should include and more details about the Undergraduate Research Symposium. 

 Wednesday, March 28 from 2:30- 3:30 PM

Thursday, March 29 from 4- 5 PM

Friday, March from 30 3-4 PM

 

SCHOLAR DEVELOPMENT SYMPOSIUM | Friday, April 20, 2018

All current Freshman Research Scholars will present the results of their research experience at the symposum in the form of a poster.

This is a mandatory event for all FRS scholarship recipients.


PROGRAM EVALUATION DEADLINE | Friday, Apr. 27, 2018

To remain eligible for the program scholarship, all current Freshman Research Scholars are required to submit the Program Evaluation.
